The CHAMBER ORCHESTRA ARCHI BOEMI is the brainchild of well-known Czech musical director HYNEC FARKAC, who summoned the best chamber musicians he could find in his country in 1993. Having toured Europe extensively since, this fine orchestra has won international reputation. Soloist is music historian JAN ADAMUS whose skills with the oboe are widely known since his memorable days with the now legendary Adamus Trio. 8 pages booklet in both German and English.   1912 in New Jersey geboren ging der deutschstämmige Bradley (richtiger Name: Schwichtenberg) 1931 zunächst zum CBS und schloß sich 1935 als Trombonespieler dem Ray Noble Orchester an, wo er mit Glenn Miller zusammentraf. 1939 gründete er gemeinsam mit dem Drummer Ray McKinley ein eigenes Orchester, das schnell einen erfolgreichen Big-Band-Boogie-Stil entwickelte. Die vorliegende vielfach preisgekrönte CD enthält die Radioaufzeichnungen zweier Live-Auftritte in New York aus 1940 und 1941. Ungewöhnlich gute Qualität für Aufnahmen aus jenen Tagen.

  Born to German immigrants in New Jersey in 1912, Bradley started to work at the CBS in 1931. As a trombone player he joined the Ray Noble Orchestra in 1935 where he met Glenn Miller. Together with drummer Ray McKinley he founded his own orchestra in 1939, an orchestra that quickly developed a unique and successful boogie style of their own. In addition Bradley became a very successful composer for the rest of his life. This CD contains two radio shows recorded live in 1940 and 1941. The technical quality of this digitally recreated master is surprisingly good for recordings made in the early 1940s.
